Government Request Policy

How Nabtap evaluates demands for information or content restrictions.

Effective

Version

Operator
Glemad Inc.

Our principles

  • Require valid legal authority and appropriate jurisdiction.
  • Interpret requests narrowly and disclose only what is legally required.
  • Challenge overbroad, unclear or unlawful demands where reasonable.
  • Notify affected people before disclosure unless prohibited or an emergency makes notice inappropriate.

Content restrictions

A government request does not automatically remove content globally. Where valid local law requires restriction, we seek to limit the action to the relevant jurisdiction and identify government-request restrictions where legally permitted.

User information requests

We examine the legal basis, scope, identifiers, date range and requested data. We do not provide informal access, account passwords or technical backdoors.

Emergency requests

We may voluntarily disclose limited information when we have a good-faith basis to believe there is an imminent risk of death or serious physical injury and the request contains enough detail to assess that risk.

Transparency

We aim to publish aggregate information about government requests, disclosure rates and content restrictions, subject to legal, safety and measurement limits.

Changes to this document

We may update this document to reflect changes to Nabtap, the law or the way we protect the community. When a change is material, we will provide notice appropriate to its significance and request fresh acceptance where required.
